27.09.2011. – A public announcement

on the order for the official of the SDP BiH, Mr. Žarko Vujović, to publicly apologize from the rostrum of the Tuzla Municipal Assembly for insulting women saying at an assembly that women who had a love affair were perverse.

The Gender Center of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (by the official document number 01-05-378-4/11) has obliged the councilor of the SDP BiH, Mr. Žarko Vujović to publicly apologize from the rostrum of the Tuzla Municipal Assembly for insulting women – for violating the Law on the Gender Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the assembly held on May 31st 2011, the member of the SDP Mr. Žarko Vujović brutally insulted women saying, in an uncivilized manner, that women who had a love affair were – perverse.

The proceeding against the official of the SDP, Mr. Žarko Vujović, was initiated by virtue of the office, after video recordings shown by the independent media had been submitted. In the recording Mr. Vujović, during the assembly, ruthlessly lied that the president of the BOSS, Mr. Mirnes Ajanović, had discriminated women.

The official stenography from the assembly also proved that there was no statement which had been ruthlessly imputed to Mr. Mirnes Ajanović by the mayor of Tuzla and the vice-president of the SDP BiH, Mr. Jasmin Imamović.

The president of the BOSS, Mr. Mirnes Ajanović is giving thanks to the independent media which video recorded the uncivilized statement by Mr. Žarko Vujović that ‘women who love are – perverse ‘. Had there not been the aforementioned recording (having in mind that the SDP has banned the broadcast of the assemblies) the truth would be only what Mr. Jasmin Imamović and a few citizens associations, in which the members of the SDP have the leading functions, have falsely and treacherously presented against Mr. Mirnes Ajanović.

The entire subtitled version of the recording of the statement by Mr. Žarko Vujović has been presented, and it can be seen at www.boss.ba, in English at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9SSRv0hims and in German at
